Summer Camp

Summer Camp July – August 2026

Summer breaks are the best time to spend a week exclusively immersed in creative activities. Campers will learn new art skills and have lots of fun at our inspiring studio this summer. Our camp has a small group of participants with different skill levels, led by an experienced art instructor. Each person gets personalised instructions to help them bring out their creativity.

To get the most out of our camp experience, we ask that parents drop off and pick up their child at the specified camp hours. Students who arrive late or are picked up early may not be able to participate in all the activities offered at the camps.

What to bring?

Campers are asked to bring each day:

A folder/binder for storing art
A water bottle, and a snack for break
Please "dress for a mess", as many of the art materials we use will not wash out of clothing.
Optional: Students can bring a favourite game, book, etc. to use during breaks. No electronics please!

Week 1:

6th July – 10th July, 12:30 to 4:00 pm (8–16 yrs)

Acrylic Painting & Mixed Media – creativity at its best

Day 1: Introduction to colours and painting techniques
Day 2: Landscape painting from a photograph to canvas
Day 3: Creating unique Mixed-Media textured art on wood
Day 4: Expressive floral painting.
Day 5: Painting and detailing the 3D Artwork on wood

📍 Focus: Creating 3 different types of canvas painting and a 3D mixed media art on wooden board.

Day 1: Introduction to the world of colours and their science

Colour theory and colour mixing. Warm and cool colurs.
Basic techniques on beginner friendly painting.

Day 2: Vibrant landscape painting

Fundamentals of composition, observe and simplify a landscape photo.
Creating a vibrant landscape painting on canvas.

Day 3: Creating unique Mixed-Media Art

Introduction to textured pastes, clay and 3D materials used in mixed media.
Creating a 3D composition on a wooden board.

Day 4: Expressive floral painting

Creating floral compositions, learning different brush strokes.
Colour harmony and impressionist style painting.

Day 5: Bringing It All Together – Final Artworks & Showcase

Painting and detailing of textured art from day 3
Mini exhibition of student work

* Fee $300 for 5 days/ 3 canvas paintings and 1 mixed-media art.
* All art supplies required for the 4 projects are provided in the studio for $30 per student.

Week 2:

13th – 17th July, 12:30 to 4:00 pm (8-16 yrs)

Watercolor Wonders – mastering the elusive medium

Day 1: Exploring Color Washes & Blends
Day 2: Painting Landscapes – Skies, Water & Trees
Day 3: Adding Buildings and Houses
Day 4: Night Sky & Galaxy Painting
Day 5: Bringing It All Together – Final Artworks & Showcase

Day 1: Exploring Color Washes & Blends

Understanding watercolors and other supplies to be used
Exploring tips and techniques in watercolor
Color wheel – mixing magic

Day 2: Painting Landscapes – Skies, Water & Trees

Different ways of painting the sky and water
Painting variety of trees

Day 3: Adding Buildings and Houses

Creating distance and perspective with houses
Loose vs. detailed watercolor techniques

Day 4: Night Sky & Galaxy Painting

Creating dreamy auroras and northern lights
Adding stars and galaxies

Day 5: Bringing It All Together – Final Artworks & Showcase

Participants finalise and conclude their artworks
Mini exhibition of student work

Day 4: Art journaling techniques on canvas

Creating a wall art with techniques learnt
Learning decoupage techniques on canvas

Day 5: Bringing It All Together – Final Artworks & Showcase

27th – 31st August, 12:30 to 4:00 pm (8-16 yrs)

Sketching bootcamp – from doodles to masterpieces.

Day 1: Observational Drawing – Still Life with Pencils
Day 2: Mastering Perspective – Cityscapes & Skylines
Day 3: Expressive Portrait Sketching
Day 4: Understanding Tonal Values for Depth & Drama
Day 5: Bringing It All Together – Finalising the Artworks and Showcase

📍 Focus: 3 to 5 artworks of expressive sketching

Day 1: Observational Drawing – Still Life Mastery

Learn shapes, proportions and composition
Sketch everyday objects (bottles, fruits, books)
Shading techniques (hatching, cross-hatching, blending)

Day 2: Mastering Perspective – Cityscapes & Skylines

One-point and two-point perspective exercises
Create a city street or a skyline artwork

Day 3: Expressive Portrait Sketching

Basics of facial proportions
Sketching different emotions and expressions

Day 4: Ink & Charcoal Techniques for Depth & Drama

Understanding the role of light and shadows
Creating high-contrast drawings

Day 5: Bringing It All Together – Final Artwork & Showcase
