Imagine Learn Create

Summer Camp July – August 2025

  • Summer breaks are the best time to spend a week exclusively immersed in creative activities. Campers will learn new art skills and have lots of fun at our inspiring studio this summer. Our camp has a small group of participants with different skill levels, led by an experienced art instructor. Each person gets personalised instructions to help them bring out their creativity.
  • To get the most out of our camp experience, we ask that parents drop off and pick up their child at the specified camp hours. Students who arrive late or are picked up early will not be able to participate in all the activities offered at the camps.

What to bring?

Campers are asked to bring each day:
  • A folder for storing art
  • A water bottle, and a snack for break
  • Please "dress for a mess", as many of the art materials we use will not wash out of clothing
  • Optional: Students can bring a favourite game, book, etc. to use during breaks. No electronics please!

Week 1:
7th July – 11th July, 12:30 to 4:00 pm (8-16 yrs)

Mixed Media Mania – creativity at its best

  • Day 1: Creating expressive themes for your art
  • Day 2: The art of creating layers and textures with different materials
  • Day 3: Creating unique Mixed-Media Masterpieces
  • Day 4: Experiments with colours and painting techniques
  • Day 5: Bringing It All Together – Final Artworks & Showcase

📍 Focus: Creating 2 three-dimensional wall art pieces and 1 decoupage glass bottle.

  • Day 1: Creating expressive themes for your art
  • Exploring ideas and understanding abstract themes
  • Conceptual design for projects
  • Day 2: The art of creating layers and textures with different material
  • Creating layers and textures with different materials
  • Creating abstract compositions based on design
  • Day 3: Creating unique Mixed-Media Masterpieces
  • Developing and finalising the layout
  • Preparing the artworks for painting
  • Day 4: Experiments with colours and painting techniques
  • Different painting techniques in mixed media
  • Dictating a focal point in your projects
  • Day 5: Bringing It All Together – Final Artworks & Showcase
  • Participants finalise and conclude their artworks
  • Mini exhibition of student work
  • Fee $300 for 5 days / 2 wall art projects and Decoupage art.
  • All art supplies required for the three projects are provided in the studio for $60 per student.

Watercolor Wonders – mastering the elusive medium

  • Day 1: Exploring Color Washes & Blends
  • Day 2: Painting Landscapes – Skies, Water & Trees
  • Day 3: Adding Buildings and Houses
  • Day 4: Night Sky & Galaxy Painting
  • Day 5: Bringing It All Together – Final Artworks & Showcase

📍 Focus: Creating 3 landscape and night sky paintings

  • Day 1: Exploring Color Washes & Blends
  • Understanding watercolors and other supplies to be used
  • Exploring tips and techniques in watercolor
  • Color wheel – mixing magic
  • Day 2: Painting Landscapes – Skies, Water & Trees
  • Different ways of painting the sky and water
  • Painting variety of trees
  • Day 3: Adding Buildings and Houses
  • Creating distance and perspective with houses
  • Loose vs. detailed watercolor techniques
  • Day 4: Night Sky & Galaxy Painting
  • Creating dreamy auroras and northern lights
  • Adding stars and galaxies
  • Day 5: Bringing It All Together – Final Artworks & Showcase
  • Participants finalise and conclude their artworks
  • Mini exhibition of student work
  • Fee $300 for 5 days
  • Art supplies required are provided in the studio for $20 per student.

Art Journaling & Storytelling - self-expression through art

  • Day 1: The science of colours and using various inks
  • Day 2: Creating storyboards & textural backgrounds on paper
  • Day 3: Visual Diary – creative doodling
  • Day 4: Using art journaling techniques on canvas
  • Day 5: Showcase Your Personal Art Journal and

📍 Focus: Creating an art journal (3-5 pages) and a wall art piece

  • Day 1: The science of colours and using various inks
  • Working on colour schemes
  • Understanding stamping inks and there uses
  • Day 2: Creating storyboards & textural backgrounds on paper
  • Basic design layouts for visual storytelling
  • Using stamps and stencils for background texture
  • Day 3: Visual Diary – creative doodling
  • Abstract and symbolic art exercises
  • Creative doodling to represent feelings
  • Day 4: Using art journaling techniques on canvas
  • Creating a wall art with techniques learnt
  • Learning decoupage techniques on canvas
  • Day 5: Showcase Your Personal Art Journal and
  • Participants finalise and conclude their artworks
  • Mini exhibition of student work
  • Fee $300 for 5 days
  • All art supplies required for the projects are provided in the studio for $38 per student.

  • Day 4: Understanding Tonal Values for Depth & Drama
  • Day 5: Bringing It All Together – Finalising the Artworks and Showcase

📍 Focus: 3 to 5 artworks of expressive sketching

  • Day 1: Observational Drawing – Still Life with Pencils
  • Learn shapes, proportions and composition
  • Sketch everyday objects (bottles, fruits, books)
  • Shading techniques (hatching, cross-hatching, blending)
  • Day 2: Mastering Perspective – Cityscapes & Skylines
  • One-point and two-point perspective exercises
  • Create a city street or a skyline artwork
  • Day 3: Expressive Portrait Sketching
  • Basics of facial proportions
  • Sketching different emotions and expressions
  • Day 4: Understanding Tonal Values for Depth & Drama
  • Understanding the role of light and shadows
  • Creating high-contrast drawings
  • Day 5: Bringing It All Together – Finalising the Artworks and Showcase
